Turkish Silk Scarves from Istanbul's Grand Bazaar
Gülipek Hamit Fırat — Grand Bazaar, Istanbul — Est. 1968
Silk has been central to Istanbul's textile trade for centuries. At Gülipek Hamit Fırat we have been part of that tradition since 1968 — selecting and presenting silk scarves of the kind that are made to be worn, given, and kept. Our silk scarves range from lightweight summer squares to longer wraps in traditional patterns, contemporary designs, and classic solid colours.
Every scarf in our collection is chosen for the quality of the weave, the depth of the dye, and the way the fabric moves. We carry pure silk as well as silk-blend options for those who prefer a sturdier drape. Silk scarves make exceptional gifts and are among the most requested pieces by visitors to the Grand Bazaar who want to bring something genuinely special home.
Materials Chosen with Care
Our collection includes scarves woven from Turkish silk. Individual pieces vary in weight, structure, and surface finish — from smooth satin-weave silks to more textured woven grounds. We are happy to explain the differences between pieces in store, and our team can help you find something suited to the occasion and the person.
Care
Because every textile is different, always follow the care guidance supplied with the individual piece. Depending on its material, dye, and construction, professional dry cleaning or gentle hand washing in cold water may be recommended. For more detail, see our care guide.
Selection and availability vary by location. If you are looking for a particular piece, please contact us before your visit. Open Monday to Saturday, 09:00–19:00.
